Purpose and Mission:
United with the district, we as the Rockaway Township Special Education Parent Advisory Council will partner to increase the Visibility, Support and Education of the children with special needs and their parents for the benefit of the entire school community.

SEPAC Objectives:

To act as a liaison between parents of children with special needs in the district, the Department of Special Education and the Board of Education by: Advising the Rockaway Township Board of Education, the Rockaway Township Special Education Department, and the Rockaway Township Superintendent of Schools about any and all areas concerning special education.

Fostering and maintaining an effective communication system among Rockaway Township Department of Special Education, the schools, and the community. Fostering and maintaining a close relationship and a mutual understanding between parents of children with special needs and the Rockaway Township Department of Special Education. This school year SEPAC members and district administrators are seeking strengthen the connection between general and special education by inviting parents whose children are not classified, but attend school with children who are receiving special education and related services.
